PostSubject: Two witches and their little shit witch niece   Sat Feb 13, 2016 9:32 pm

The smoke filled air filtered into her lungs and made Po sputter slightly. Hands gripped tightly around the large drink in front of her, face scrunched in thought. "Shiba forbid Honerel stop people from smoking in here." she paused, giving the witch next to  her a look before bringing the fruity drink to her lips. It had been a few months since the accident with Widow, and the smokey toxic smell reminded her too much of their trip to inferno. But for tonight Po tried not to think about her aggressive Madama, she had been quiet since they left her in the pits of hell under the will of Madama Scorpion. Pomyle's nerves just began to smooth from the attack on Venera and the fight with her own Madama.

Po frowned as she tasted the fruity drink in her mouth before swallowing "I also wish Honerel would read a how-to on how to mix a damned drink, I should have made my own" the dark haired with placed her drink gently on the table before scooting it away from her. Po leaned back in the small booth, adjusting the bags she had next to her in the booth and then the one on the floor, quickly checking of she had gotten everything. They hadn't been shopping in what felt like years, and today was money well spent on new hats and a new pair of shoes. After the quick check Pomyle leaned back against the witch next to her with soft sigh, maybe now things will finally start to go back to normal.

An amber colored liquid sat in the medium sized glass, disturbed only when it was lifted to plump red lips for a sip. Any hard whiskey or liquor was her preferred drink, the burn of the alcohol hardly noticed by the woman. She smiled at her love's comment, giving her a sideways glance. "But it never seems to bother you when it's me doing the smoking." Venera chuckled, leaning back further into the seat. She gave a hardly noticeable wince, but she relaxed with relative ease. Her back still had seen better days; she was still able to walk and move and fight anything that had too many feathered wings for her tastes, but certain positions still warranted pain. A few months ago there was a slight... accident with Madama Widow, a summoned fist that had gone wrong and drove itself right at Venera. The issue was well taken care of now, Scorpion had been relatively quiet for the past few days and the witch wasn't entirely sure she was eager to hear why.

Another sip was taken from the glass as she watched Po struggle to even swallow the 'drink' Honerel had provided her. She chuckled, placing a hand on Po's back before leaning in to place a kiss on the side of her head. "You know she won't notice if you sneak back behind her bar and steal what you need. As long as you put it back, she shouldn't damn you to an eternity in Inferno." Again she gave a small laugh but this time at her own joke. Venera watched momentarily while Po fixed her bags she had left on the floor before accepting the woman leaning back against her, wrapping a firm arm around her shoulder with another small kiss to her forehead.

It had taken her a very long time to find this place. ...This shitty, shitty looking bar. Alexandra gave a hefty sigh and placed a hand on the door to the bar. She was old enough to drink, by a bit. The blue haired female shoved open the door to the bar and was hit with the heavy scent of smoke. It cause her to inhale sharply and begin to cough. It was the exact smell that cause the sharp noise of a hiss to hit her mind. Lifting her hand she placed it against the wall and leaned into it. The feeling was powerful and seemed to echo through her body. She had experienced this before, but was never sure as to what it was. Once the feeling passed, Alex was able to start her way towards the bar. She planned on getting herself piss drunk. How would she reach the dictator, as she named the red headed female? She had no idea and the best thing to her was to drink herself silly.

However, when she was just about to reach her destination, her shoe caught something on the floor which caused her to fall forward. Trying to stop herself from falling, desperate hands reached out for something to halt her fall. The only thing she managed to grip onto was a table edge with one hand and something cold in the other. The grip she had on the table caused her to spin and fall onto the ground,  the cold liquid now all over her hoodie which she wore to conceal herself. "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" She practically screamed as the cold liquid shocked her system and anger fueled her short temper. Throwing the cup to the ground, she leaned up and frowned at the two females who were now staring at eachother. Looking down at her shoes, she realized that her foot had gotten caught on a shopping bag. "What the hell is your problem? Do you just keep your little shopping bags wherever the hell you please? People walk here you know."   Alexandra looked back up at the other two to gauge their reactions as she stood and began to try to wipe up the excess water from her clothes.

Po smiled as she felt Venera's soft kiss, giving the other witch a side glance. "That's because love, its your smoke I have to smell. Not some stranger's lingering breath." she shifted against the warm shoulder she was leaning on watching the bubbles fizz in her drink for a moment before she sighed, taking her finger and moving the plastic, neon umbrella that floated at the top of her drink. "If she would just let me teach her how to make a damned cocktail we wouldn't have this problem...you know how hardheaded she can be" Po allowed herself a little laugh as she let her hand fall back into her lap. Enjoying the comforting feel of Venera's arm around her shoulders.

The sound of the bar door opening made a little chime throughout the smokey room. Po glanced slightly to see who had come in, the figure didn't seem too interesting and it was strange for the bar to get regular visitors. But it did happen. Po turned her attention back to Venera, leaning in hopes for another kiss. Po payed no mind to the footsteps approaching their booth, no doubt the newcoming heading towards the bar, most likely going to make the mistake of ordering one of Honerel's famously disastrous drinks. There was the rustle of a bag, a few thuds and the shake of their table. Po jumped slightly at the sudden shake and clatter, realizing her drink had found its way off the edge of the table and all over the guest. Po's mouth opened to see if the other person was alright, though quickly shut at the harsh words that flowed from the stranger almost instantly. "oh dear, my problem is  that you've gotten alcohol all over my new pumps." Po sneered. reaching down over the side of the booth seat to retrieve her fallen bag, not giving a second glance over to wet angry stranger.

"Hey now, hey now" A hard voice behind the bar spoke, a smooth easy going tone that had the slightest hint of an edge. Honerel leaned up from  against the back rack of the bar, setting the glass she was cleaning down. Honerel walked around the bar to the three woman, eyes glancing from the one who had just walked in with mild interest before the two witches sitting the booth. "Someone bothering you babe?" Honerel asked as she reached the table, giving both Po and Venera a look before the stranger. She crossed her arms as she stood in front of the girl "Making all that noise at my regulars isn't a good way to introduce yourself kid" she spoke with a huff, waiting for the other's response.

The witch smiled, glancing over at the judge of the damned while she cleaned another glass, who was seemingly more attuned to the story the only other occupant of the bar was telling. "Oh yes I do, she's never going to let you teach her how to many a cocktail." She placed her glass down. "She also doesn't like to admit she's wrong. But maybe if you tell Teresa to tell her... she may listen." Venera gave a squeeze to the woman next to her, her full attention returning to Po.

But her full attention didn't last long; it was drawn back away to the entrance of the bar. The door swung open which was an odd occurrence indeed. Very rarely did anyone besides her and Po come in, almost as if people had no idea the bar existed. Part of it may have been true; the wards placed on the building were strong and it seemed as if only those who didn't follow faith as closely as others entered, seeing as those same people consistently left belligerently drunk. But, anyone's reason for entering the bar wasn't ever her business. She watched the young adult who came in for a second longer before she turned back to Po, seemingly reading her mind and giving her yet another small kiss.

And yet again, her attention was taken away from Po. The same person who had just entered the bar barely even got to the counter before her evident lack of coordination brought her down, causing her to trip over the bag Po had left on the floor. Venera could only watch in mild irritation as her drink slid down the table that had been grabbed for leverage, the sound of breaking glass hitting her ears like an angel's screech. She gave no other noticeable reaction to the young woman that had come into the bar to apparently wreak havoc, but just a sigh as she adjusted her position, her grip finding itself on one of her concealed guns. "I'm more concerned about your lack of coordination." Her words fell off of her tongue slow with laced irritation. "Anyone with even the most basic coordination and decent eyesight could see there was something on the ground." Her expression never seemed to change from one of slight boredom and even still it was when Honerel had walked over. She gave the demon a cross look before her grip on her concealed firearm loosened, motioning to the woman on the ground. "Well, I can't say I'm pleased. I've lost my drink and Po is out another pair of shoes again." She knew better than to start anything within Honerel's bar; it was probably another thing that contributed to an eternity in Inferno.

Alex had just gotten most of the foul smelling drink off of her before she heard a hard, but rather smooth voice call from afar. Her brows scrunched together in the midst of a frown, but she instantly pulled her angry features back when suddenly she was hit with a wave of, what seemed to her like, negative energy. She had only felt like that a few times in her life and everytime she did it made her feel the same way. The hissing that pushed hard in her head started up again as the energy seemed to wash over her. A quiet grunt escaped her and her hand instantly shot up to her head. The blurry of feelings didn't allow her to fully catch what the rest of them that spoke said. Seeing as she only managed to catch negative things, Alex looked from the bartender to the dark haired woman to the red headed woman. Anger was not going to be her way to finding the Russian dictator.

"I'm not buying her another set of shoes, bu--" Her harsh voice calmed when she stopped completely. The red headed woman who merely looked at her with irritation and a very familiar face caused Alex to stare blankly."...Holy shit it's you. You're...her! Venera, the Russian leader. HOLY SHIT. I fucking found you! In a sleezy bar like this too?! Hot DAMN I don't have to get drunk then." Looking to the woman who had yelled at her earlier, Alexandra grimaced slightly as the look she was recieving was not the best. Looking back to the red haired woman and other that was sitting next to her. "You. I've been looking for you a very long time. I haven't been going on anything but my feelings and I was hoping you could answer something for me." Alexandra let her words soak in before she made direct contact with Venera's eyes. "Do you know anything about being an Umbran witch?"

Po pulled her fallen bag in her lap as she gave Venera an irritated look as she flipped through the soft tissue paper to the shoes that were hidden inside. Po pulled one out to examine it and to her utter disappointment the insides were completely soaked. Po made an audible groan, nearly all but forgetting the young woman who caused all this as she stared at her ruined shoes. These were the last pair and they had fit perfectly. Pomyle took in a steady breath of air as she set the shoes back inside the bag. "I'll never find a pair as perfect as these" she mumbled to no one but herself as she reluctantly returned her attention to the young woman that started it all. She seemed to be babbling excitedly over...Venera?

Po shot her lover a confused look, it wasn't often...anyone ever came up to the leader of Russia so haphazardly. let alone after spilling their drinks. Po turned her attention towards Honerel, about to ask the demon to escort this child out to leave them both be, but she stopped. Honerel stared at the newcomer with interest, border line amusement. Her features were calculating and her stance relaxed if only some which made Po curious. The Judge of the Damned knew something, and often times that was never a good thing. The question the young woman asked next almost made Pomlye jump, it was so random and out of place after such an exert of anger. She turned to the girl and then Venera whom she seemed very intent on talking to. "...Umbra Witches? you've disrupted our evening, ruined my shoes, caused quite a scene, to ask her about a fairy tale?" Po scoffed, looking down at her ruined shoes, it wouldn't be the first time the stumbling of a mortal targeted them to ask about the Umbra Witches or the Lumen Sages, some mortals seemed to be more attuned to it, but this one seemed nothing more then an angry child infatuated with the leader of the country.

Honerel was quiet as she watched the girl take up a fascination with the two Witches at the booth, more so Venera then Pomyle. She flexed her arms across her chest for letting them drop. This girl let off an energy, a very familiar but very faint energy. It was no wonder the other two didn't sense it yet, it was hardly there, fresh and new and barely even honed. Honerel glanced over to Venera "Hear this one out babe, trust me. I think you'll find her interesting" she gave Venera an amused look before leaving the group and returning to her place behind the bar deeming the situation less of a threat.

The witch glanced down at Po's shoes, reaching over to turn it in her direction so she could see the inside. She made a quiet 'tsk', her attention momentarily taken away from the young woman in the bar. "We can go shopping again when we have time." She spoke quietly, giving a soft rub to the woman's shoulder before her attention was quickly returned to the young woman. She seemed to have started... blabbering. Venera rolled her eyes; this encounter was getting more irritating by the moment and she wasn't entirely sure how much more she could take.

She was about to wave her off, tell her she didn't have time for questions and she just wanted another drink because hers was still on the floor with no glass to contain it. Shaking her head, Venera at least made the attempt. "I'm not taking questions about politics, if that's what you think I'm about to do. I've been found in worse places, though." A momentary smirk was given in Honerel's direction before it was quickly wiped off her face at the next thing spoken. She tensed visibly in her seat, her eyes averting quickly from this stranger. Even now with those words, she didn't want to admit the odd familiarity in those determined eyes. It was something she couldn't quite place, with her memories still not at 100% capacity since she was dug out of a hole in the middle of the Russian countryside. She didn't say anything at first, almost stunned into silence. Venera gave a cross look to Honerel at what she had said, the statement being entirely unwelcomed. But the judge of the damned was right, and rarely was she ever wrong. She let out a hefty sigh, standing up to step out of the booth but not without another small kiss to Po. "Honerel is right. I should probably hear what she has to say." She said quietly before turning to the blue-haired woman. "What do you need to know?" She asked firmly, leaning against the table.

In the midst of her excitement over finding the woman she had been fretting over so much, Alex didn't realize the ugly looks she was getting from the two women. However, when she came to ask about Umbra witches she noticed the dark haired woman try to knock off her question as a myth.
"It's not a myth!" She argued, frowning deeply at the woman. Looking to the bartender as she spoke, Alexandra quirked a brow at her words. 'Interesting? What did that mean?' She wondered.

Noticing the much taller woman step out of the booth she was just sitting in Alex stepped back slightly to give the woman ample room, which Alex felt slightly intimidated by a woman of such high standard standing in front of her. The female tried her best not to show that she was feeling that way, considering she hated feeling like she was weak. It had reminded her of when her mother was sick. Shaking her head slightly, she lifted her eyes to meet those of the leader of such a massive country. The question she received brought relief over her entire being. Alex noticeably relaxed before crossing her arms and shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
"Judging by the way you worded it, does that mean you're one too?" She asked, making sure her voice didn't falter and her eyes were glued to the other woman's. She awaited an answer before looking around for anyone that may catch a whiff of what they were talking about. After being sure no one was listening, Alex leaned in as a precautionary.
"...My mother was one and she told me, I was one too. ..I don't know what it means. What am I? Do I even have a purpose for being one? Do we have a purpose? ....And..this is going to seem crazy, but do you..have a hissing in the back of your mind? Like when you smell certain smells or get near ...her?" At the end of it, Alexandra glanced to the bartender who had returned to cleaning glasses. Alex didn't know what sort of answers she would get, but she hoped it would fill the lost feeling she had been feeling ever since her mother passed away.

Venera shifted her weight against the table in preparation for the bombardment of questions she was sure to receive. Her hand absently reached up to play with the ends of her vibrant red hair, watching the smaller woman with an almost bored look, but many thoughts were cross-firing in her mind. What did she want to know about the Umbra Witches? No one just...happens into a bar that happens to serve two Witches as regulars. It would be more than just a mere coincidence. "I am. There's...hardly any left because of the witch hunts." Her blue eyes looked down, reaching for a holster she kept hidden. From the holster came a pristine white gun with a deep red trim, elegant golden writing went down the barrel that read 'Purified Judgment'. Under that was a simple 'by Honerel'. "This one is Canilu. I don't carry the others with me often." She gave the barrel a once over, wiping it down before putting it back in its holster. "Do you at least have your pocket watch?" She questioned.

Watching the younger woman look around the room, she waved a hand. "Don't worry about anyone in here. The only mortal in here knows about us very well." Her comment caught the attention of a brown haired woman who sat the bar; she turned to waved over at Venera with a warm smile before returning to her conversation with Honerel. The witch returned the little wave, her arms crossing and her brow furrowing at what was said. Her mother? Although she had said there were hardly any witches left, she was only referring to herself and Po. Was there any other witches out there? And if there was, why didn't Scorpion mention anything about it? She shook her head, full attention returning. "Yes, we have a purpose still. It's hard to believe it... but we do. We were the counterbalance to the Lumen Sages 500 years ago, until an ancient tenet was broken; the intersection of light and darkness will bring calamity to this Earth." She stood up straight, pushing off of the table. "A Lumen Sage and an Umbra Witch broke that tenet and it sent both of our clans into a spiral into chaos. Today... there may be Lumen Sages that yet live, I do not know. But it appears there are three witches instead of two now." Venera then glanced at Honerel, snorting out a laugh. "Oh, Honerel? She's nothing ...big. If you want to know who she is, you're going to want to ask her. But I hear she's a big deal." The witch chuckled lightly, glancing back at Po.

Alexandra's eyes looked up and down at the gun as Venera pulled it out. "Nice gun." The female complimented before she tilted her head slightly as Venera questioned about her pocket watch. Her body stiffened a bit before she reached into her pocket on her baggy jeans. Pulling out a silver pocket watch that was adorned in sapphire like gems along the top of the small watch. Do you mean this? My mother gave this to me." She spoked quietly while rubbing her thumb along the surface of the watch.

The information was almost overwhelming for her, but she merely took a couple of steps backwards to reach for a chair from another table. Moving the chair near the female who was speaking, she took a seat and crossed her arms once again. She did the action in a nonchalant way to prevent the other two from seeing her legs begin to tremble ever so slightly. The information simply overwhelmed the young woman. Alex refused to show them how sick she felt as well. Her stomach was churning as she tried to match the information that she was being told and what little her mother told. When Venera was speaking of the lore Alex remembered her mother saying the exact line. "The intersection of light and dark will bring calamity to this earth...yes. my mother, Lillith, told me that as well. ..although all this information. ...instead of two? So...that means." Alexandra's eyes moved to the female behind Venera. You're a witch too?" Narrowing her gaze slightly in curiousity, Alex looked back up at Venera. It was at this time that the young witch took notice of how bright the dictator 's eyes were. Her face looked very familiar. "Venera...did you...where were you born at?" The female watched her carefully as her reaction unfolded.

Po frowned at Honerel's words, why was it so often when Honerel had that look in her eye it was never good news to come. The purple witch stayed quiet as she glanced over to Venera, who now took much more interest in the young babbling girl standing before hand. Po didn't object when Venera moved to get out of the booth, shifting her legs to allow her to pass returning the quick small kiss.

She stayed quiet as the two talked, shocked that Venera would be so willingly to speak about their umbra way, even show the young woman her gun. Though the more she watched the two talk the more she felt drawn to the hot blooded girl who ruined her new shoes...could she be? Po hardly had to finish the thought when Venera asked the girl about her pocket watch, her lover confirming her own thoughts already. Po's eyes blazed with momentary excitement...another witch? and so young in the eyes. She was not like them, the feeling she was picking up from the girl was too weak, barely honed and near fragile. A glint pulled Po from her thoughts as she noticed the pocket watch the girl flashed at Venera, from where Pomlye sat there was no doubt that was indeed an umbran pocket watch.

Po met the girl's gaze when the attention went to her, allowing herself to release a breath she hadn't realized she was holding "I am....and to see you here...its almost unbelievable...you have to forgive my earlier precautions" she offered, returning to silence as the two continued their conversation. Though something nagged at Po as she watched the girl with new found interest, her features, certain ways her mouth turned, the tiny curve of her nose, the intensity in her eyes. Po glanced for a moment at Venera before returning her gaze to the girl. Something was amiss here, and it left a feeling of unease within Po.

The red witch looked over the watch the young woman had with a smile, nodding her approval. "Yes. Never lose it. It's the heart of an Umbra Witch and what keeps us immortal." Venera's smile wavered for a moment as she watched her sit, again lost to her own thoughts. The familiarity of this young witch was irritating, a constant nagging in the back of her head telling her that the blue witch was someone to protect and keep close... but she couldn't figure out why she needed to do that. She had barely even met her and didn't even know her name. None of it added up in her mind.

Her expression returned to its normal look when her attention was brought back, nodding in confirmation to what the young woman said. But that name forced her to stop all thoughts and time almost seemed to stop in her mind. "Lillith..." She muttered to no one but herself.

~*~

The screeches and calls of the angels was nothing to the redhead now. Her footsteps were brisk, heels clicking loudly in the quiet city street. She had left Vigrid, albeit temporarily. She had something to take care of just one thing first.

"Venera! Where are you taking me?! You've just dragged me away from the war!" A normally calm voice was loud and laced with irritation. Lillith stomped her foot and stopped in her tracks, arms crossing in defiance to her older sister. The red witch stopped in hers as well, almost spinning on her heel to turn and face the light blue haired woman. Already Venera could see the pain... the confusion in her sister's eyes and she gave a small smile, closing the gap in a few smooth strides.

"I know I did... for your safety." Blue eyes looked beyond the horizon; with trained eyes anyone could see the blaze of orange just at the edge. It was Vigrid... or what was going to be left of it very soon, it seemed. Blue eyes that matched her blue hair softened slightly, looking from Venera to that orange spot on the horizon. "My safety? You've been keeping me safe since this all started, you've been keeping a lot of witches safe..." Lillith looked up at Venera, giving her a little nudge. "I still don't understand."

The red witch kept her eyes forward, her gaze never leaving Vigrid in the distance. "But I can't keep them all safe forever. But you..." She paused. "You I know I can keep safe. You're staying here." The protests of her sister went unheard to Venera, the woman taking every biting word from her sister. "There's a house up the road I have already set up for you."

"But what about you?! What will become of you?" Lillith asked almost pathetically, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. A chuckle came from the taller woman, her hands coming up to cup the face of her sister's and placing a kiss on her forehead. "You know me. A couple of angels can't take me down. I'll be back for you as soon as the hunts are over."

~*~

Her eyes were closed when the memory was done playing in her head in vivid detail, taking in a deep breath before letting it out. She barely caught the question that the younger witch asked, her eyes opening slowly to look at her. "Vigrid..." Her voice shook, and she never returned eye contact to the blue haired witch. "Where most were born." She knew she didn't need to ask anymore questions, and she felt as if she didn't want to answer anymore. Looking at the young woman in front of her, she could put two and two together; that was the daughter of her younger sister and... her younger sister must have died somewhere along the line. Her promise, 500 years broken, no longer mattered. It seemed she wasn't made for keeping promises anyhow. "I... uh, excuse me... one moment please." She weaved in and out between the tables and chairs of the bar, pushing the heavy doors open to step out and through a portal to Purgatorio.

Alexandra laced her fingers together as she looked to the dark haired woman still sitting in the booth. The female listened carefully to the words of the other before shaking her head. "I guess it's fine, you seemed kinda shocked that there's another witch, which i guess isnt that bad of thing..I didn't know there were any either. ...speaking of which in probably could have fucked up really bad if I spoke to the wrong people. ...jeez." She said with an almost irritated  tone.

Her eyes had traveled downward as she spoke, mostly to herself near the end. Glancing back up as she spoke of her mother, the female took notice of how the Venera stiffened. Lowering her brows in a rather curious manner, Alex noticed the way the red haired witch answered rather distantly. Leaning to the side, she looked to her partner, whom she still didn't know the name of. "Uh...is she okay?" She asked while glancing up to Venera again then back to the other witch, who was now looking very concerned. As soon as Alex was about to ask something else, Venera suddenly pushed herself up and away towards the doors. Alexandra stood up and gasped as Venera suddenly disappeared in a visible portal that no one else seemed to notice. "Wha where did she go? How'd she do that? W- hey now where are YOU going?" The witch frowned and watched as the previously seated female got up and left after Venera. Crossing her arms and tilting her head to the side, Alex released a gruff sigh. "Or everyone run off, that's cool too."

PostSubject: Re: Two witches and their little shit witch niece   Mon Feb 29, 2016 12:02 am

Po had kept quiet for the most part, worrying her fingers together on the table as the two talked. It was odd to hear Venera speak so openly about the the Umbra and their ways, and by the flash of the pocket watch the girl had there was no doubt that this young woman was one. If barely. Po leaned back in her seat to get a better look at the girl who looked relatively normal, nothing overtly striking about her other then the nagging sense of familiarity that seemed to drape over her. Po found herself drawn to her eyes the most, that feature above all else called to her the most.

The purple witch felt a sudden shift in the air that drew her attention back to Venera, whose stiffening form immediately put Po on edge. What happened next left Po clamoring to get up out of the booth. Venera was up and out the doors and into Purgatorio before Po could react properly, but the urge to follow regardless propelled her half way across the bar before Venera vanished into the portal. She could hear the girl saying something to her but it became muddied and muffled in the worry that swept over Pomyle. Her Venera wasn't moved like that often, what had the girl said to send her leaving so quickly? was there a crucial part of that conversation that she had missed from being focused on her own thoughts? Po attempted to level her breathing, the whole situation left her feeling vulnerable as her nerves began to pick at the edge of her skin.  She watched the doors Venera went out of, desperately searching for any sign she would return just as quickly as she had left. Though they remained shut and no such wish was granted. Fighting the onslaught of confusion and emotion coursing through her, Po's racing thoughts returned to the girl behind her, no doubt in similar confusion as she was. With a deep breath Pomyle turned to face the girl, cracking a soft smile as she returned carefully to the booth they two of them had been seated at.

"I'm sure Venera will return soon, I hope you can understand" Po offered, even though she herself barely understood, it was simply better to save face this way. She carefully leaned against the booth's table, watching the girl for a moment before focusing on her own breathing "I don't believe I ever caught your name young one, I'm Pomyle, Po will do just fine though. And don't worry about the shoes" she offered another smile, crossing her arms tightly across her chest to release tensed muscles. "This is quite the shock for us, thinking that we were the only two witches left, yet here you are standing right there. before me." Po frowned as she thought, thinking back to the conversation the two had "your Pocket watch, it was your mother's...Lillith you said?" Po's mind searched for the name, remembering things since waking remained difficult since the time of the Witches. Names of her sisters and their elders became blurred and only faces remained. But Lillith stuck her, that was a name that clicked.

Po's thoughts drew her to a particular memory. An old court yard, the dance of bullets hitting each mark effortlessly. A soft clap came from witches as they watched the display of talent, some murmured to one another in approval. Venera? no, younger stood in the middle. Smile on her face with bright eyes as she bowed to the crowed. There was a louder...closer clapping. it was Venera, looking on this young witch with approval. "Unmistakable family talent" a voice drifted in, one Po didn't recognize, the owner unimportant.

Po reeled from the memory, her breath quickening as she looked back to the girl again with startled eyes, a hand covering her mouth at the sudden vivid memory. Pomlye stammered for a moment, her mouth continue to open and shut as she searched desperately to find the words she needed. This girl, this new with couldn't possibly be her daughter, the odds were too great and nearly impossible.

Po straightened herself once more, trying to reclaim the posture she had before but failing at the lack of focus she could hardly claim. "Please...tell me more about your mother."

Alexandra watched as the dark haired witch quickly followed after Venera. As she spoke of no one answering her questions, she  noticed the woman was walking back and was rather weird acting when she sat back down. Something about the way she sat down seemed odd, but the smile that followed seemed to show otherwise. Maybe it was all in her head about the way the female moved. It was probably just all the information was throwing her body off. Listening to the witch, now dubbed Pomyle, Alex visibly relaxed as she moved the chair she was sitting in back to its table. Moving herself over to the table, Alex began to sit down across from Po in the other booth as she spoke, "My name is..Alexandra, but call me Alex. Alexandra is too much of a mouthful. ...Those were nice shoes though." Listening silently to the witch before her, Alex laced her fingers together and sat her elbows on the table while resting her chin on top of her fingers. "I didn't even know there were others aside from me until she told me just before.." Biting her bottom lip, Alex shook her head and returned eye contact with Po. "It was my mother's, but she gave it to me."

Alex noticed the way that Po fell into silence,  furrowed her brows and frowned. She waited until Po's eyes came back into focus and watched as the witch put her hand over her own mouth. The young witch remained silent as she let Pomyle calm down. What was everyone's deal? They acted so strange when she mentioned her mother's name. Did they know her? How could they? It took a moment for Po's words to sink in before she answered back. "My mother..well. She had a temper, like me. Ocean blue eyes. Blue hair just like me. ..She never told me much about the Umbra witches. She was one too though. ...Never mentioned very much else. Aside from some war way back when, but always got all..teary eyed whenever she mentioned it and promised to tell me more when I got older." She fell silent and murmured quietly as her hands fell to the table as well as her eyes. "..So much for that." Frowning slightly, Alex remained silent before blinking her way back to reality. Looking up at Po, she waited a moment before speaking. "Did either of you know my mother?"

Po had collected herself a bit better by the time the young witch sat down across from her. She couldn't help but to keep looking over her features each time finding something new that felt familiar. The doubt she had about Alex being the daughter of Lillith, Venera's sister, was becoming less and less outlandish as she spoke across from her. Po shifted in her seat as her eyes glanced for a moment over at the bar as the Alex spoke. Honerel had stopped cleaning the bar top, there was a smile still on her face as she spoke to Teresa, the small Italian woman sitting on one of the stools. Though Honerel occasionally glanced up from their conversation to the door Venera had just went out of. Pomyle wondered for a moment of Honerel would come over and ask where she had went, but the Judge of the damned stayed where she was, returning her attention back to Teresa.

The purple witch listened carefully to what Alex had to say, more specifically as she described in detail what her mother had looked like. Po allowed herself to explore the memory she had earlier, it was no doubt Lillith. She remembered the young girl who would come out to greet her when she visited Venera. Proudly explaining the new techniques she had learned and how she already had them mastered. Po remembered enjoying their conversations while waiting for Venera. Po tensed for a moment at Alex's question before giving her a slight nod. "we did." Po started, returning her gaze back to Alex "Your mother was an expert fighter...I remember going to her practices with Venera and watching her hit targets in the blink of an eye" Po smiled faintly, though it didn't last as she continued her thought "Venera was always so proud of her....she would have been an elder too if.." Po stopped for a moment, glancing at Alex before allowing herself to sigh "the War she spoke of was the Witch Hunts. There were Horrors you couldn't imagine the night we lost our clock tower, the night we lost everything." Pomyle was quiet for a moment, letting what she had said thus far sink in with Alex, though what she had to say next even she wasn't prepared on dropping onto this girl.

Watching Alex for another moment she braced herself before speaking "Venera was your mother's sister Alex...neither of us knew of her passing..it was only a few years ago either of us had woken from a heavy magic that preserved us for hundreds of years." Po stopped again, watching the young woman's face carefully "five hundred years ago, during the destruction of everything the umbra stood for, I took Venera by surprised to put the ward on her knowing I couldn't convince her otherwise ...I...I'm not sure where your mother had been then." Po felt a sudden sinking feeling as she remembered that night, she had been so intent on preserving her cherished friend and Umbran elite she hadn't once considered what Venera had done with Lillith, she hadn't even expected to live through the night after burying Venera so deeply under ground..parts of it she still doesn't remember.

Pausing, she glanced at Alex, the sinking feeling continued to twist in the pit of her stomach as she watched the girl, unsure on how she would take all this new information.

The very mention that Venera and Po knew her mother was enough to make her stomach flip. How long did they know her, that was the question. However, listening to Po painted a whole other side to her mother. An expert fighter and an amazing marksman by the sound of it. Alex's eyes widened a bit in awe as the words flowed out of the purple witch's mouth. The mention of Venera being proud of Lillith sent off a red flag in her head. Her gaze was thrown off thanks to the mentions of the Witch Hunts. Horrors? What kind of horrors? The information had to sink in a bit for Alex as all of this at once was rather overwhealming. Her blue eyes drifted down to the table and stared at her hands, frowning ever so slightly. In her head, the witch was trying to process the amount of information , split it up, and piece it with what bits her mother had told her. The witch hunts made sense, but what's this about a clock tower? A sinking feeling started to knot in her stomach, as though she were predicting what would come next.

Just as she was about to ask a question, the words seemed to punch Alex in the face. Po's words kept hitting her one after the other. Venera her Aunt. Neither were aware of her mother or her. They didn't even know she.. Alexandra's temper was rising and the anger was welling within her as she continued to listen. Her face contorted into that of fury by the time Po had finished speaking. Her voice was low at first and shaky, "You..put Venera under a ward. Knowing you couldn't convince her otherwise? ..Not only that, but you did not THINK for ONE second, about MOTHER?!" Her voice was rising in volume as she continued to speak. Slamming her fists into the table, she shook all the glasses and leaned forward to emphasize her anger. "And you two just abandoned her?! Left her to fend for herself in the war?! You guys decide to l..no. YOU decided to just go ahead and put my aunt in a five hundred year nap?! What right did you have?! Is that why my mother always cried herself to sleep? Is THAT....KNOWING that her sister was out there and never knowing what happened?! No call no visit no anything! How long was she left alone for?! My mother is dead all because you guys didn't even bother to come and find her after you slept?! Do you know how hard it was for me after she died?! I had NO ONE. The only person that loved and cared for me is dead and...and I don't even .. " Hot tears were streaming down the frustrated witch's face. Her body felt sick with all the unanswered questions and even more mysteries than she could deal with.

Po didn't have to wait long for the response from the girl sitting across from her, Alex's face telling Po the direction this conversation was going to go before the blue young witch even spoke. Her words lashed out at her, causing Po to quickly lean back in her spot on her side of the booth "its not that I...it was chaos, the angels they-.." Po felt her stomach tightened as she watched the angry girl in front of her, the emotions on her face we painful and the words even more so. They twisted around and repeated in Po's head, causing her to physically recoil from the younger woman's words.

It had been her fault, Alex was right, she had taken Venera so thoughtlessly without wondering what had even become of Lillith. How long had she been alone because of Po's actions...maybe if she would have thought...or looked for Lillith she could have saved her too. But she didn't and now her Daughter stood teary eyed and angry with her across the table from Po, wanting answers. Po's breath hitched as she looked at the girl, feeling the sting of tears in her eyes as Alex stared her down with...hatred, it was unmistakable hatred. "I-I'm sorry..I'm so sorry Alexandra" she started, glancing at the angry girl across the table, she attempted to calm her emotions despite deserving this verbal attack "I was protecting Venera..I..I was trying to keep her safe I didn't...your mother was nowhere in sight...and the angels.." Pomyle practically babbled, trying to articulate her thoughts correctly though it was hardly working. What could she possibly say to this girl, who has been right, it was her fault that she was motherless...if she had acted more swiftly that night. Po took in a shaky breath of air as she tried to further herself away from Alex in the small booth "I'm..I'm s-sorry" she offered again, knowing the apology was more then hallow to this poor girl

Silence was deafening in Purgatorio. It always seemed like the sounds from the realm of chaos never passed over into the fourth world in between the trinity of realities, giving it an almost serene quality. She knew that was never the case, though. Purgatorio was as lively as any other of the realms, angels and demons always fighting now with the imbalance that still shook the world after the ancient tenets were broken. Both sides had reasons to be angry; sages and witches were almost non-existent now. Three witches remained, and who knew if sages still yet lived.

But it may have been four witches, had Venera regained her memories properly. 500 years in a deep slumber did everything but keep her memories intact, and it did nothing to help her. She now remembered everything about Lilith, how hot headed she could be but also how kind she was. The two were almost head to head in strength, but at the climax of the Witch Hunts, Venera knew she was the larger target. Their mother had already been wiped out and Venera was surely next. The red witch had to do what she could to see her sister from seeing the same fate; if she had died, Lilith would have been one of the few to rebuild the Umbra witches from the ground up if it had gotten to that point. She knew Lilith could never get to that, not by herself and who knew if Vigrid was still standing. It was the question she wanted an answer to but one she couldn't bear to handle the truth of.

”Ahh, Venera… Who has hurt you? It had better be someone I may hurt in turn.” A familiar Enochian drawl seemed to echo around the red witch, a deep red portal opening several feet in front of her. In her peripheral, she could see her shadow fade from the familiar form of Madama Scorpion as she stepped out of the portal from Inferno, her size a mere fraction of what it normally was. For once Venera could see eye to eye with her sponsor. At first the blue-eyed witch said nothing, almost studying the demoness of Inferno before the gap between them was closed, said demon accepting the grieving witch in her arms.

Scorpion said nothing, allowing the witch to sob silently into her shoulder, a gentle hand on the back of her head idly stroking her soft red hair. Being a demon, she almost knew next to nothing of comfort but the best she could do was try for her witch. ”I have been watching from the Judge’s bar, that blue witch has quite the mouth on her. Madama Kasdeya would not be proud of her witch’s daughter.” She tutted quietly, letting Venera go as she pushed back to get a better look at Scorpion. The madama lifted a hand to wipe a stray tear, ignoring the look of confusion, turning slightly to allow Venera to walk first before following her into a large courtyard.

Again did silence fall between the two, Venera contemplating and getting her thoughts in one line before speaking again. ”How long has Lilith been dead… if you’re at liberty to share that information.” She questioned, her voice barely above a whisper. This gained an equally quiet sound from the demon to allow her to think before answering. ”Only a few years; she was dead before you awoke from your slumber. Kasdeya was throwing fits daily, how her witch wasn’t going to make it.” Scorpion paused, letting the words sink in. ”It was an incurable illness, Venera. Even if you had awoken and remembered… I don’t think there was much you could have done.” She saw the dictator stiffen slightly in their walk before her stance relaxed again.

The witch had yet to figure out how to process this new information, looking up at the clear blue sky of a summer day in Russia. Her thoughts were interrupted by Scorpion speaking up again. ”I am sure you have put it together by now, but the blue witch in the Judge’s bar is Lilith’s daughter; her name is Alexandra. Kasdeya would only talk of Alexandra for days on end, proud her witch brought another one into the world.” Scorpion huffed, placing a gentle arm around Venera’s shoulder. ”Do not blame yourself for something you could not have prevented, Venera. That is all I can tell you for now.” The demoness told Venera. The witch only sighed, a weak smile being given in return. ”It’s hard not to do that, but thank you… I needed this information. It’s still fresh, but I will be able to manage easier for right now.” She assured the demon, giving the hand on her shoulder a light pat.

Madama Scorpion chuckled, removing her hand to cup Venera’s face momentarily to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. ”This information is free this time. Now get back to the Judge’s bar. I sense a disturbance.” Those words got a quick reaction out of Venera, the witch looking back towards the bar quickly and back to the demon. Scorpion let her go, waving her off to return. With a simple nod, she turned and briskly made her way back to the bar, a portal back into the realm of chaos opening up in front of her for her return, the sounds of the realm becoming apparent again.

Her arrival back at the bar was quick, the door being tugged open harshly onto quite the scene with Alexandra leaning at Po, to catch the end of their exchange. Her attention was momentarily caught by Honerel, her expression changing to a weak smile of reassurance before her focus was brought back to the table that held her lover and her niece, her hand itching to reach for the witch’s firearm at her side. She allowed herself that much, taking it into her hand with a tight grip. ”Alexandra.” She ground out, anger taking over. ”You would do well to respect your elders. If you have anger you wish to take out, you will take that out on me. Pomyle did what anyone would do in her situation and you would also do well to leave her out of it.” Venera practically hissed, the grip on her gun tight but not yet ready to aim. Her words, however, made it clear whose side she would be taking.

The stuttering witch before her made Alex narrow her eyes. Her fingers curling into a tight fist on the table. "Sorry? Sorry doesn't bring mother back, now does it? Maybe if you and my darling aunt had been around or..or put my mother under that same ward thing, I may not be here, but at leat she would." She hissed with a strong dose of sarcasm in mentioning Venera. Welling inside her had been a swirl of emotions she hadn't felt in a long time. "And you kno-" Her body froze in place as she heard her name being spoken in the same tone her mother used all the time. For a split second, her heart leapt in her throat as she looked over to where the voice came from and she expected to see her mother walking towards her. However, the lump disappeared and there was only Venera walking towards her. She was about to start yelling when she realized that Alex had never once said her name to Venera. "How did you know my name? I never told you. I'll respect my elders when I think you deserve it." She argued before listening to the angry voice that echoed from the red haired witch. She was ready for a fight.

Her eyes followed Venera's arm down to a pistol on her waist that Alex had never noticed before. "I will not leave her out of it and if you're gonna shoot me, just do it. I hate waiting for shit. How could you...what did you do with mother?!" She growled, the hot tears threatening to spill even more. Adjusting herself, the fenale slid out from the booth and took a couple steps backwards and away from the table. "Want to hear a story, Venera? It's an old  story my mother used to tell me. Long ago there were two witch sisters. The eldest with hair as red as fire and the younger with hair as blue as the ocean. They always took care of each other and we're always together until a great battle came. The older wanted to protect the younger sister and sent her away from the battle. The younger one protested and refused, but the eldest sister promised to come back for her once the war ended. The younger sister complied and went on to find a place to live and hide until the war was over. Days went by, months, then years and the younger sister was sure her sister had been killed. She cried for many nights, hoping and praying that the older sister was alright. She went on to never know what happened and had a beautiful little girl. After the infant was a toddler the younger sister decided to go in search of the older sister, but to no....avail..." Alex paused and looked at Vener, eyes widening in realization. "It wasn't a story, was it? A made up fairy tale. It was real. Why..how long had you been awake from that ward? How long...my mother spent so long...why didn't you tell her?" Alex's eyes steadily streamed with tears as she brought her arm up to erase them from her eyes. Looking from Venera to Po, her mood changed once more. Alex had had it with the two witches, the information all reeling at once, and turned her body around. Grasping at a chair, she jetted it downwards as she walked out. "I've had enough of this shit. I wish I never even came here."

Po continued to hunch down in on her side of the booth, there was nothing she could say to make the situation better and as far as she was concerned she was deserving of this belittlement. She could have done more...why didn't she do more to help the other witches. Is this what Venera thought of her too...how useless she had been that night only saving one witch? Pomley sucked in a heavy breath as she tried at all costs to avoid eye contact with the angry girl across from her, too sure that she would lose her own resolve...what little she was managing to hold together. A familiar voice echoed across the bar, one that normally sent warmth and delight through Po but now only furthered her feeling of dread. She peeked to the side as Venera returned from Purgatorio, reaching for her gun in threat to the newly discovered  niece.

The purple witch said nothing, avoiding the two of them as she shrinked back further into her booth, mind racing a twisting horrible thoughts, and briskly taking her back to the night that had continued to haunt her. She cursed herself for being so selfish, she had only wanted to protect Venera, protect the umbran way by preserving her. Dread  built up in her stomach, the exchange between niece and aunt was almost all but muffled to her now as a familiar feeling crawled its way back into her being. One she had finally shaken off since Venera had been attacked by Widow. Then the pain was physical, something she could see and treat Venera and her wounds, she knew the fix to that dread. But this..was something you couldn't bandage and heal. Po nearly jumped out of her skin when the chair hit the ground, pulling her from the toxic frames of her mind and back into the heated bar.

Honerel set the glass down slowly as she watched the door to her bar open a second time, the return of Venera allowed her shoulders to relax as the witch walked back into the bar. She offered her a subtle nod before picking the glass back up, returning her attention to he chattering Teresa who had been telling the judge about her long day. Though Honerel didn't remain relaxed as voices raised, her attention being brought back to the witches in her bar. The little blue one had grown heated again, yelling at Po then Venera, then both then back at Po. Honerel frowned, managing to get out from behind the bar just as one of her chairs collided with the ground, it's leg visibly breaking. "What the hell was that?" she growled, watching the blue witch leave, she had half a mind to drag the girl back and have her pay for the disrespect she caused, clearly the young Witch wasn't informed on who's bar she thought she could trash. Honerel's attention returned to Po for a moment and then Venera. "Babe" she started softly as she took a step towards the red witch before stopping herself, the graveness and tone of the situation becoming apparent to the Judge. She gave a long stare towards Venera before turning to Po, taking a few steps towards the booth, the seated witch instantly shied away. Honerel let out a long sigh before walking to the front of the bar and promptly switching the 'Open' sign to 'Closed' .

Venera ground her teeth, glancing down at Po and wishing she could take her away from all of this. The witch knew she could never blame Po for what happened; as she had said, Po did what anyone else would have done and she would stand by that. Frowning at Alex's words, she shook her head with the grip on her gun only getting tighter. "If you are going to blame anyone for Lilith, you are going to blame me. I'm the one who left her behind." She told Alex but it gave her the bitter reminder that she did, in fact, leave her sister behind willingly. Biting back any more tears that threatened to fall, she sighed. "I left your mother in a city; she was safe from the atrocities of the war. I would not have intentionally put her in danger." Her words were firm and true, but still she hadn't realized how biting they sounded even to her.

The red witch paused to listen to the store her niece had offered up to tell, but already she knew she didn't want to listen to it. Already she could tell the story was a rendition of her life with her younger sister and she hated where it was going; it was just another bitter reminder that she left her sister alone to fend for herself during the most violent parts of the witch hunts. She couldn't say anything to defend herself now; she knew she was wrong the entire time. Shifting her position slightly, she stared at the wall as the story finished. "No. It's not a story. I've only been awake for a little less than a year. I was told Lilith died several years ago though. And... there's nothing I could have done had I woken up in time anyways." Her voice trailed off, stopping to look back down at Po. She stayed silent now, watching as the young woman slammed a chair down against the ground before leaving the building.

Her attention focused on nothing until Honerel's voice broke the silence, her blue eyes turning to look at the Judge. She just shook her head slowly, though her eyes continued to watch the demon as she went to switch the sign from open to closed. She half-laughed, although the sound came out more ragged than intended. "Isn't my niece just a treat?" She spoke with biting sarcasm, retuning Canilu to the hidden holster at her hip. The red witch looked at Po, her expression softening immediately. "Pomyle...my love. Please, come closer." She muttered, shooting another glance at Honerel.

Promptly after slamming the bar door, Alex walked quickly away. She had so much on her mind. Her feet were swiftly carrying her off and away from the shitty, shitty bar. The female wished she didn't...well, no. She didn't want to admit it, but she felt some relief in knowing that she wasn't the only survivor of her family. Frowning as she rounded a corner to the main street of the town, the witch shook her head and rubbed at her red, puffy eyes. Of all the people she had to be her aunt, it had to be that woman. Damn her. Damn her for leaving her mother in such a way. Groaning quietly Alex shoved her way into a café and ignored the friendly greeting towards her. She made her way to the very corner and flopped down in the booth. Lifting her arms to rest on the table, the female buried her face in her hands and closed her eyes. Releasing a deep breath, Alex began to think over the day's events.

She walked into a bar to get drunk and start new in the morning. She ended up meeting the dictator of Russia who also ended up being her aunt. Po and Venera were Umbran witches like herself, though she barely knew what that meant and now probably never would. She..didn't want to. Everything about the Umbra ended in death and despair it seemed. Something that Venera said threw the young witch off.  ["And... there's nothing I could have done had I woken up in time anyways.] What did she mean? She knew her mother was sick, but it was because they couldn't afford a doctor that she passed, right? Moving one hand to her pocket watch in her pocket, her thumb gently moved across the familiar surface of it. "She said it was what made them immortal...could she have died because...she gave me the watch?" Following the design of the café table with her eyes Alex sighed heavily. "I'll never find out now. I refuse to.." "Hello! My name is Meb and I'll be your waitress! What can I get you today?" A cheerful voice spoke as Alex slowly looked up at the pony - tailed brunette. "Ah...just get me a coffee. Black. I need something strong." The cheerful waitress faltered for a moment before nodding. "O-of course!" Watching Meb return to the kitchen, Alex let out a soft groan and pulled her hand from her pocket and ran it through her hair. "Well. Now what. I can't go back. ...Even if...But.." Narrowing her eyes, the witch shook her head and dropped it to the table with a painful thud. "Mother would want me to...I wonder what kind of welcome I'll get when I go back."

"Here you go!"
The cheerful voice returned, albeit a bit more calm. "It's on the house." She said in a calmer manner. Alex looked up and quirked a brow. "Excuse me? I appreciate it, but I can pa-" "No no, please! I..it's on the house, and as many refills as you want." Meb smiled sweetly and gave a little bow before rushing to another table of newly seated guests. "Odd." Alex mumbled before lifting the coffee to her lips and taking a sip. The strength of the coffee tasty wonderful in her distress full situation. "...Maybe I'll try later..or tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow sounds good."

Po had kept quiet, wringing her hands together as tears pricked at the corner of her eyes. Her resolve was falling fast now that the Alex had left the bar and she cursed herself continuously as the first few ran down her heated cheeks. Pomyle watched  as Honerel stepped closer, she could see the mild concern in the demons face but she retreated, a heavy breath after she quickly covered her face with both hands to try to calm herself. Neither was working. Venera's voice was next, the voice she found so sweet now made her lurch slightly, worried as to what the witch was going to say to her.

Glancing up at the red witch Po attempted to save face hearing the soft words come from Venera "I...Venera" Po breathed softly scooting out of the booth to confront her lover, hands still wringing thoughtlessly as she looked between both Venera and Honerel "It was my fault..all those years ago..I should have done something" Po croaked, her voice already betraying her as she stepped closer to Venera closing the already small gap between them "Alex was right I...I should have been able to do something for her...for Lillith but I didn't..." She felt herself snapping at the seams as she spoke, her broken voice finally giving way to the loss of their umbra sister and Venera's actual sister "...why didn't I.....why didn't I do anything." Pomyle practically fell into Venera, catching the fabric of her outfit tightly before sliding down slightly as she failed to keep herself up with lack for trying. Po crumpled at Venera's feet "I'm sorry...I'm so Sorry Venera...so so sorry" the purple Witch chanted the apology like an empty verse, continuously and with grief as she sobbed at the other Witch's feet.
